This is my morning supplementation routine. I’ve been pretty consistent of late and feel like this is the right way for me to start each day
- Scoop of True Greens (5g) in 250ml water
- Scoop of True ZMA (5g) in 250ml water
- Scoop of True WPI 90 – Salted Caramel Protein (40g) + Scoop of True Creatine (5g) in 250ml water
- Espresso (Redbrick Moneyball) x2 (60g)

The Why
Get Hydrated
For the Greens, ZMA and Protein + Creatine – I refill my shaker with 250ml each time, which means I’m starting the day w/ 750ml of water to start the day by hydrating
The Greens, For when I don’t eat enough veggies
According to the packet: “Greens contains a wide spectrum of essential vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals as well as chlorophyll, carotenes, protein enzymes, amino acids, dietary fibre and anitoxidants”
I probably don’t have enough vegetables in my diet taking this every morning makes me feel better when I don’t manage to get enough serves of veggies in for the day
The ZMA (zinc, magnesium and vitamin B6)
I train a lot and from time to time, my muscles cramp up. Making sure I have magnesium on the regular is a great way to ensure I cramp less and stay relaxed for longer
The Protein + Creatine (True WPI 90)
One of the ways to improve your ability to burn/mobilise fat is via the ingestion of protein – as it promotes the release of a hormone called glucagon
Starting the day with a salted caramel protein shake makes me happy because A: it’s fricken delicious and B: It kickstarts the fat-burning process
I add creatine because it’s scientifically proven to improve your endurance during in high intensity, short-duration exercise and it improves muscular contraction during max efforts lifts like back squats and deads (via an increased intramuscular creatine pool)
Espresso x2
The 2 back to back espressos have become more of a habit than anything else and it just feels wrong if I don’t do it. I love making coffee and it’s always been part of my morning routine
It’s also a good way to kickstart your morning bowel movment – TMI? Yeah perhaps 😉
