On both Saturday and Sunday afternoon just past we had prepared a few meals for the start of the week. Monday was a busy day and by Tuesday morning (the 1st) there was barely enough food to get us through the day – eg. we’d run out by lunch…
By Tuesday afternoon there was no [prepared] food in the fridge – yes, there was [uncooked] meat and veg but Becca and I were busy running the Teens session plus evening PT sessions so there wasn’t anyway we could prep food for dinner let alone the next couple of days… I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t have a little bit of a meltdown and I started to ask myself why I do this stupid Whole30 in the first place?!
Thank God for Madz though – After the Teens session was over I grabbed her and we headed over to Mitchell to pick up Isabelle from dance. On the way we dropped into the grocers at Crace Shops and grabbed a couple of kg of mince and 2 avocados. We picked up Isabelle and then I dropped both the girls at home – I’d asked Mad if she could make some savoury mince and roast some veggies while her mum and I were at the gym…
I ran my PT sessions for the night and when I arrived home – I was stoked to discovered that Madelyn had done a massive cook up filling multiple containers with her delicious savoury mince and roast veggies. The cook up had even inspired Becca (who’d arrived home before me) to bust out her go-to Jamie Oliver: garlic, onion, tomato and capsicum chicken thighs and later we filled even more containers…
Oh and I forgot to mention, Madz is only 14!
Wednesday 2 September
- wake – 6:40am
- 6:45am – bone broth
- 7:15am – breakfast – 2x fried eggs, savoury mince + roast veggies and 1/2 avo + water
- 8:30am – DS espresso (from Bario in Braddon – so good!)
- 9am – fish oil
- 10am – DS espresso + water and magnesium
- 11am – PT w/ Sharon
- 12:30pm – lunch – jamie oliver roast chicken thighs w/ capsicum, onion, garlic and tomato
- 2pm – DS espresso
- 3:30pm – snack – savoury mince (smaller serve)
- 4pm – PT w/ Will
- 5:30pm – snack – almond butter – it’s been too long my friend
- 6pm – PT w/ Lucy
- 7pm – PT w/ Andrew
- 7:30pm – dinner 1 – savoury mince
- 8:30pm – dinner 2 – well fed beef stew with orange zest – damn it was good.
- 9pm – orange –Â as if I have a sugar problem?!
- 10pm – bedtime
Definitely starting to see that I eat way more when I’m on the whole 30 as I usually consume a lot of my macros via protein shakes and milk…
