I’ve gotta say that’s it’s been absolutely ages since I felt good enough to do a double session and not only that it was a double VOL training session on the Saturday just past.

Was able to fuel up like a monster with 3 separate servings of Tim’s epic Paleo breakfast. It was a good morning session with 14 peeps rocking up and the arvo was pretty chilled with only 3 so I jumped in on that too.

Saturday 24.9.11

Morning session (8am)

  • Max effort box jump – Battled it out with Glenn A and ending up getting 125cm
  • VOL training: Focus: HSPU / Filler: skipping & KB swings

Arvo session (3.30pm)

  • VOL training: Focus: Muscle-ups / filler: skipping and prowler

Sunday 25.9.11

3pm Trainer’s session

  • warm up: handstands & skipping
  • 1RM weighted chin up: 46kg
  • shits & giggles: death by Prowler (1 trip on the first minute, 2 trips on the second, 3 in the… etc.) – made 8 + 4

It looks like hanging out with a sick family and finally caught up with me though as this morning I’ve woken up with a saw throat and a bit snotty. my lower back and glutes are continuing to give me issues – especially when I’m driving so I’m looking forward to going to see Matt Dippl tomorrow – Yay!
