Going with the ‘just get some content up there already’ strategy I decided to do a video instead of write a post. It’s n0t as polished as I’d like it to be but I guess that’s what you get when a guy tries to multitask (drive [A: unconscious competence] , think [B: concious competence] and talk [a little from A&B])

I’ve spoken to a few of my Adapt peeps and it would seem that some of what I’ve been saying has been sinking in. Some people already do this (set goals) and for others, well it’s been the first time they’ve ever even though about doing it. What ever the case thi whole process has mad me take a closer look at my own life to make sure I am indeed ‘practising what I preach…’

The latest part of my goal setting homework is all about accountability. Now that you’ve written down some goals, it’s time to put them out in the ether and show someone else what you’re aiming for. That way someone (other than yourself) will be able to ask you how you’re tracking and keep you accountable.

This is where you have a real chance to gain some momentum too. One of our guys: Stubbsy recently used one of the gym’s whiteboards to write up his goal to abstain from alcohol and coffee until the end of the year. Now while I wouldn’t have been so harsh on the coffee part, the sheer fact that he shared it in a public space has motivated others to do the same. I jumped on and committed myself to another Whole30 for August  (as have others) and more and more people are writing down some of their goals too.
