I’ve been listening to a new audio book called Living Well, Spending Less: 12 Secrets of the Good Life. You can probably guess that this is a book about managing your finances – or at least it’s filled with tips to help you do better than you are right now.
I’m doing the Whole30 to reset my body and get of the crack (sugar) and just like sugar, I realised I also have a shopping/spending problem too. The book outlines a great way to break your spending habit by only spending money on things you need for 30 days – as opposed to things you want…
Considering that rent is an automated payment each month and Becca has all our bills and groceries covered. Anything I spend is almost always going to be a [want] so I’ve decided to do that as well – eg. don’t buy anything for a month too.
I worked out that all my meals have to be prepared at home so there’s no reason to eat out (even if it’s Thrive) because I’ve got everything I need at home – we’ll have to see how things go but what the heck right?!
Thursday 3 September.
